April 8.2009 Preparation and April 10 Arrival in London

Air Canada provided me with a comfortable flight from Toronto to London and even delivered lunch, dinner and a snack. The individual screen gave me a number of choices of movies, videos or audio tracks. I chose to watch Changeling - a movie I have been wanting to see for some time and Marley And Me - a dog lover movie. I did tapping to lessen the jet lag using Horary Acupuncture Points - I arrived quite rested without sleeping and 5 hours ahead of Toronto. I managed to take the Underground with only one short unplanned detour, to Findsbury Park. My daughter Susan primed me for getting an Oyster card for use on the Underground and all went well.
My darling daughter met me on the platform with her brilliant smile and warm hug - making the whole trip worth it right there at that moment! We walked the ten minutes to her "flat" where she made me English tea and we caught up on recent events. Then bed around midnight ie 5am my time.

The feta salad dressing is bought for Susan as it is not available in London, advice has been procured from my well travelled adult children, the brollie has been found and there is just some packing to be done and I will be off. The good advice includes wearing my old comfortable runners for walking and taking public transportation to experience a little more of the real life of the people in the cities where I travel.
The vegetables in the fridge have been washed and appetizingly displayed to keep Fred eating healthily while I am gone and his Easter present hidden until Sunday. (No I am not giving any hints Fred.)
Now I must go back to work-work at the hospital.

  1. Susan, do you remember sitting on steps with your high school friends?
